About Our Organization

Our Council is a local nonprofit organization chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA to provide programs and services to girls in 17 communities: Artesia, Avalon, Bellflower, Cerritos, Compton, Dominguez, Hawaiian Gardens, Hollydale, Lakewood, La Mirada, Long Beach, Lynwood, Norwalk, Paramount, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill and Willowbrook.

Girl Scout Council of Greater Long Beach is a forward-thinking and well-managed organization. Our services bring girls together in a variety of settings. Girls learn the importance of making good decisions, the value of goal setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the excitement of accomplishment. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

• • Enthusiasm, creativity, honesty, and patience.


• • Ability to manage multiple tasks.


• • Effective communication and writing skills.


• • Proficiency in a second language a plus.
